Why this compass exists
A great deal is written about artificial intelligence — usually either too brief or too technical. Specialist articles assume knowledge you have yet to acquire. Short summaries stop exactly where it gets interesting. And what the law requires usually sits in a different document from the thing you actually wanted to do.
AI Compass works differently: one article per topic, three levels of detail, one address. You decide on each page how much detail you need.

We describe what someone is trying to do, and only then what with. Tools go out of date faster than tasks.

Governance where it arises
What the law requires sits in the same article as the application — not in an appendix nobody reads.

Not a sales page
This is not a product site. Where LumeSec has a solution of its own, that belongs in the footer, not in an article.

Evidenced, not asserted
Statements about the law cite their source. Where the exact wording matters, we link the official text.
What is free and what needs an account
Every explanation is freely accessible and will stay that way. That is not a marketing decision; it is the point of the service.
A free account is needed only for the tools: templates, worksheets, full use-case datasheets, exports and certificates. The rule behind it is simple — we put the tool behind the sign-in, never the explanation.
Who writes this
The publisher is LumeSec Technologies GmbH, based in Birgitz, Tyrol. Foundation articles are written editorially; governance articles are reviewed and dated before publication. Every article names the responsible role and its revision date.
How to contribute
All content lives as Markdown in a repository. We welcome corrections, anything unclear, and missing topics — there is a feedback control under every article, and for anything longer you can reach the editors at hello@lumesec.ai.
